The HKRB is an international book review site. We are not-for-profit and have a small budget, but we do offer a small amount of remuneration to our contributors, as well as offering review copies to potential reviewers.
REVIEWS: Reviews should be somewhere between 700 and 1200 words. However, in some cases we will accept longer reviews of up to 2000 words. Your review should include the publisher and date of publication, and when you send it to us please include a short bio of yourself for publication along with your review and on the Our Reviewers page.
ESSAYS: The ‘HKRB Essays’ series treats topical and political issues across the world. We are particularly receptive to work related to Hong Kong or Mainland China, but this is not a prerequisite. Essays should be 1500-2500 words in length.
INTERVIEWS: The ‘HKRB Interviews’ series has a specific focus on critical theory and philosophy. If you want to conduct an interview on our behalf, please contact the editors.
Any further questions can be directed to the editors.
